Lazio is a city full of charm in Italy. Home to the capital city of Rome, Lazio has an area of 17,236 sq km.
Reporting from Forbes, Lazio Governor Nicola Zingaretti announced a new tourism campaign program, 'More night, more dreams'. This campaign invites tourists to extend their vacation period there.
Not just invited, the extension of the holiday period will be subsidized from the city government. This campaign cost 10 million euros.
Later, tourists who stay three nights in a row will get one free night. Meanwhile, tourists who stay five nights will get an additional two nights.
This promotion is approved and financed by regional authorities. Tourists can start enjoying it starting July 1 next.
"This is an opportunity not to be missed for tourists," Zingaretti said.
He believes tourists will feel at home spending time in Lazio. Because Lazio has forests, mountains, seas, hills, plains, cities of art to sports tourism.
Called 'little Italy', Lazio is proud of its 11 Blue Flag certified beaches. This certificate is awarded by the United Nations to environmental crowded beaches around the world.
Zingaretti is also very proud of Lazio for the success of its vaccination program. So that tourists who come here can feel relieved with the environment and residents who are guaranteed safe.
The project is expected to boost the tourism sector in Lazio amidst the pandemic. Other areas, such as Rome and Florence, are experiencing an 80 percent drop in visitors.
